This role is part of a team focused on building and running infrastructure that underpins modern cloud platforms. The position sits at the intersection of physical hardware and virtualized environments, with a strong focus on reliability, automation, and performance. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with multiple teams and contribute to the design, implementation, and optimization of data-center infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage infrastructure ranging from bare-metal servers to cloud layers.
- Provision and configure physical servers for cloud environments.
- Automate OS installations, updates, and configurations using tools like Ansible.
- Design and maintain datacenter networking, including VLANs, BGP, and routing.
- Troubleshoot hardware, networking, and OS-level issues affecting platform stability.
- Collaborate with platform and cloud teams to ensure smooth integration.
- Monitor and optimize performance across hardware and network layers.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for provisioning, networking, and operations.

Requirements:
- 8+ years of relevant experience in infrastructure or platform engineering
- Strong experience with bare-metal provisioning and hardware lifecycle management
- Solid Linux system administration skills
- Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible)
- Knowledge of datacenter networking concepts and hardware (switches, routers, firewalls)
- Understanding of how cloud platforms interact with physical infrastructure Familiarity with containerized environments (e.g., Kubernetes)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills

Nice to have:
- Experience with bare-metal provisioning tools (e.g., MAAS, Ironic)
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging solutions
- Familiarity with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience contributing to open-source projects
