The role of Staff Performance Engineer is key to maintaining a technological edge in analytical performance.
You will focus on benchmarking, profiling, and deep optimization of tools such as Impala, Hive, or Spark to ensure they meet the most demanding industry standards.

- Development and operation of solutions for the digital transformation of large corporate players.
- Work on systems managing data at a scale of hundreds to thousands of nodes.
- Strong focus on performance, scalability, and efficiency of query mechanisms.
🧠 What you will build and influence
- Designing and running large-scale performance benchmarks (1000+ nodes).
- Profiling query engines using flame graphs, perf, and low-level debugging tools.
- Optimizing execution models, storage formats, and system resource utilization.
- Close collaboration with developers on implementing critical performance improvements.
- Publishing best practices and conducting competitive benchmarking tests.
🛠 Tech stack and environment
- Programming languages: C++, Java, or Scala.
- Big Data technologies: Impala, Hive, Spark.
- In-depth work with CPU architecture, memory, networking, and I/O operations.
- Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
